What Is UConn ECE?

UConn Early College Experience (ECE) lets you earn real UConn credits while you’re still in high school. You’ll take UConn courses taught right at your school by certified instructors — the same rigorous curriculum, just in a familiar classroom.

How it Works

  • Courses are taught by high school instructors certified to teach UConn courses.
  • You’ll complete the same college course work as UConn students.
  • Your grades and credits are recorded on an official UConn transcript.
  • UConn courses taken through ECE count toward both your high school diploma and college degree.

If you’re motivated, curious, and ready for a challenge, UConn ECE is an incredible opportunity to get a head start.

You’ll build skills in critical thinking, time management, and independence — all while exploring areas of study that may become your future major or minor.

UConn ECE lets high school students take real UConn courses for both high school and college credit.

It’s an affordable way to get ahead, gain college-level experience, manage a heavier workload, and earn credits before stepping onto campus.
