Welcome to UConn Early College Experience (UConn ECE)! UConn Early College Experience (ECE) is your opportunity to take UConn courses in the comfort of your own high school classroom. By enrolling in UConn courses offered through UConn ECE, you are taking an exciting first step in your college journey while still in high school. Through UConn ECE, you will take authentic UConn courses in the familiar environment of your high school, taught by certified UConn ECE Instructors. As you successfully complete your coursework, you will earn both high school and UConn credit, giving you a valuable head start on your college education at a fraction of the cost of taking the same courses on campus.

As a UConn ECE student, you will officially begin your college career as a UConn non-degree student. This means you will create a UConn student record, have access to university resources and services, and build an official UConn transcript that can be used when applying credit to future educational opportunities, subject to the policies of the institution you attend. We encourage you to explore the resources in this section throughout the year—many questions about registration, deadlines, grades, and transferring credit can be answered here. This section of the website is designed to guide you through each step of your UConn ECE experience—from registration and preparing for your course to understanding grades, transcripts, and transferring credit. Whether you are just getting started or completing your final UConn ECE course, you’ll find the information and resources you need to make the most of your experience.
